Heartworms in dogs are easy to prevent, but difficult and costly to cure. Only one bite from an infected mosquito….that is all it takes for your dog to get heartworms.   There is no other way a dog gets heartworms – and there’s no way to tell if a mosquito is infected. That’s why prevention is so important.  Ask our Animal Aid team about heartworm preventatives for your pet.
